An invasive cardiologist, Dr. Schulte is a 1987 graduate of St. Georges University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency and a cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University.

Dr. Schulte's professional interests include preventive medicine and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Schulte is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He is also licensed as a nuclear cardiologist. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society, and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Along with Munson Medical Center, Dr. Schulte has privileges with Mercy Health Services North–Grayling.

Dr. Schulte resides in Traverse City with his wife and son. His hobbies include woodworking and fishing.
