An Interventional cardiologist, Dr. Raftery completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing his medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine, he completed his internship and residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, and a cardiology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center.
Dr. Raftery's professional interests include coronary angioplasty, coronary atherectomy, permanent pacemaker insertion, cardiac catheterization, myocardial biopsy and acute interventional cardiology and peripheral intervention including endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease of the extremities, renal and carotid arteries.
Dr. Raftery is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He is also Board Certified in Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. His memberships include American College of Physicians, American society of vascular medicine and a fellow, American College of Cardiology, and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
He resides in Traverse City with his family.
