A non-invasive cardiologist and echo specialist, Dr. Hepner is a 1986 graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed her residency and received post-graduate training at the University of Michigan Hospitals, Ann Arbor. Before coming to Traverse City, Dr. Hepner spent a year on staff at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Dr. Hepner's professional interests include transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography, stress and dobutamine stress' echocardiography, valvular heart disease, preventive cardiology-lipid management and diastolic function.

Dr. Hepner is a member of the American College of Physicians; and Fellow, American College of Cardiology. She is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and also has certification of special competency in echocardiography.

Dr. Hepner resides in Traverse City with her husband and two sons.
