An interventional cardiologist, Dr. Bonifacio is a 1991 graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville Missouri with internships at Bi-County Hospital and Detroit Osteopathic Hospital. He completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, also at Henry Ford Hospital.

Dr. Bonifacio's professional interests include consultative cardiology, interventional cardiology and echocardiography.

Dr. Bonifacio is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Osteopathic Association and American Medical Association.

Along with Munson Medical Center, Dr. Bonifacio has privileges with Mercy Health Services North–Cadillac.

Dr. Bonifacio resides in Traverse City with his wife and children.
