An interventional cardiologist, Dr. Beattie is a 1992 graduate of the Creighton University Medical School, Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his internship and residency at Presbyterian/St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver, and fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Dr. Beattie's professional interests include all aspects of interventional cardiology, critical care cardiology and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Beattie is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. His memberships include Michigan State Medical Society,American Medical Association and American College of Cardiology. Along with Munson Medical Center, Dr. Beattie has privileges with Mercy Health Services North–Grayling.

Before joining the Grand Traverse Heart Associates, Dr. Beattie was associate staff cardiologist at Henry Ford Hospital.

He currently resides in Traverse City with his wife and children.
